Linux 2014 Event - XII National Meeting on Open Technology - the largest Portuguese Open Source event is organized by Syone for the 12th year in a row, in partnership with Caixa Mágica. The main theme of the event is "Understanding the Present, Predicting the Future" and its goal is to continue to share the most emblematic national and international cases of Linux and Open Source applications.

This year the event will take place again in the
Polo Tecnológico de Lisboa - LISPOLIS in Telheiras, Lisbon, on September 25th, 2014 (see venue).

The participation in the event is free, but registration is mandatory and you can do it here.

 

 

History

Over the year's this national open source software event (OSS) has attracted and generated overwhelming interest from the Portuguese IT community. It is an event that promotes and encourages open debates of new opportunities, technologies and concepts through the presentation of these same technologies, success stories and market trends and readiness. It is an event that openly debates open source's biggest questions and myths whilst always maintaining a commercial and business perspective.

Where the Linux 2014 Event will be held

 

 

LISPOLIS-PTL is located 10 minutes drive from the Lisbon International Airport and the city centre.

Access By Car

LISPOLIS is located less than 5 minutes from the Eixo Norte-Sul (Telheiras exit) and the Second Circular, main roads of Lisbon.


Public Transportation
Metro - the nearest metro station is Carnide (- 15 minutes walk)

Metro + Bus - Buses 703 (schedule) and 747 (schedule) stop within 1 minute (walking) from LISPOLIS, INETIe stops in New Subdivision Horta, and have stops along the metro stations of Ameixoeira and Lumiar (703) as well as Campo Grande, Telheiras and Pontinha (747).

Parking: The auditorium provides free parking during the event.
